There are three new faces roaming the halls at Seneca Jr. High.  Ms. Malea Mercer, Ms. Natalie Hughes, and Ms. Jena' Turner have been hired to fill vacancies for the upcoming year.  Below is some information about each.

Ms. Mercer:

Ms. Mercer is the new JH counselor. She comes to us from Springfield, MO. She has been counseling with students for 5 years. She graduated from Missouri State and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling. She and her 3 children enjoy the park, treasure hunting at flea markets, game nights, and movie nights. She also enjoys golf, hiking, and going out with friends.  “ I am amazed at how the administrators, teachers, and staff in this district work together and focus on what is best for every individual student every day. It didn't take long to see the Seneca School District is truly a wonderful place with a caring, dedicated staff. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of it!”
Mrs. Hughes:

Mrs. Hughes is the new 8th grade Science teacher. She is from Muskogee, OK.  She is married to Adam Hughes, Seneca High School teacher. They have 2 daughters, one in Seneca Schools and 1 a little too young yet.  Mrs Hughes graduated from Ozark Christian College and is in her 4th year of teaching. She enjoys card games, camping, crafting, and watching Wheel of Fortune!

Mrs. Turner:

Mrs. Turner is the new 7th grade language arts teacher.  She is a recent graduate from Missouri State University.  Turner and her husband, Jonathan, own and operate Turner Performance in downtown Seneca.  They have 1 son.  Mrs. Turner is excited to spend her first year teaching as an Indian!
